Transformation Power of The Cross

Butterflies are often thought of as some of the most beautiful creatures on the earth, and for good reason, but they were not always butterflies.

A butterfly begins its life as a caterpillar, what many would refer to as an ugly, disgusting, or even scary worm of a creature.

Caterpillars are small, grub-like creatures that spend their days crawling, without the ability to fly, unable to break free from the confines of the trees and shrubs they inhabit.

The Bible tells us that we all begin our lives as wicked, sinful people. In our own power, we cannot easily break free from the chains of our sin.

The caterpillar can undergo a miraculous metamorphic change that completely transforms it into a new creation, and we can too.

Through the power of the Lord Jesus Christ, we can overcome the prison of our sin and experience a miraculous transformation as the old has passed away and all things have become brand new.

My friends, it is my prayer that you too would embrace the transformation power of the cross by letting the Lord Jesus Christ be the Lord of your life today!

All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name

Rev. E. P. Scott was a missionary who felt a heavy burden on his heart to preach the Gospel to the unreached people of India.

Rev. Scott traveled to the remote area of India despite the advice of some of his fellow minister friends, who warned him of the danger of the “barbarian” tribe.

As the reverend approached the small tribal village, all of a sudden he was surrounded by a hoard of warriors armed with sharp spears.

The minister had no weapons with him, but he did have his violin.

Violin raised and eyes shut tightly, Scott began to play and sing the old hymn: “All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name”.

When he opened his eyes, he was surprised to see that the warriors had all lowered their weapons and were gazing in wonder and awe.

After he finished singing, the tribesmen invited him into their village where he shared with them the blessed gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Through Scott’s faithfulness and with no small thanks to the classic hymn “All Hail the Power of Jesus Name” penned by Edward Perronet in 1780, many of the tribe accepted Jesus Christ as their savior!

Join Me in a Short Prayer 🙏

Precious Lord, thank you for the transformation power of the cross! Thank you that I can be forgiven of my sins and become a new creature in Christ.

Father, help me not to dwell on the mistakes of my past when you have already remade me.

Thank You oh Lord, for reminding me of the power in your most Holy and Mighty Name and help me to live and walk in your power and not my own.

I pray these things in the All-Powerful Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, AMEN!
